Born in California.
Moved to South Florida (King Tut.)
Moved on up to Georgia
But left before first grade.
Schenectady, NY, it was,
until the fifth, we stayed.
Then Havertown, outside of Philly,
we stayed for five and change;
Then moved to Boston at 17,
I found those people strange.
Upon completion of my school,
I signed up with the man;
To flex our iron grip upon
strangers in strange lands.
I quickly realized that this job
was totally not for me!
But I had signed my name, and so,
I was their property.
But after four they let me go,
when my contract had run up.
I made my way to college after
hitting a few speed-bumps.
Nestled in the Empire State hills,
My college's theme song was weak.
But it was an idyllic, peaceful town,
'cept when they'd find a fratboy dead in the creek.
I studied computers, mechanics, and math,
Some Russian, some Civ, and some Lit.
I got in real early on internet stuff,
And've made a career with that shit.
But after my World Domination tour,
I just couldn't handle the snow;
After five and a half, I earned my degree,
and ran south as fast as I could go.
To Atlanta! The jewel of a resurgent south,
and all the good and bad that entails.
A third of my life now I've called this my home,
but I wish it had more Light Rail.
I live in a house with a lake out the back,
I brew beer and cook barbecue.
I have fun with sounds, and write silly songs,
and I nurture a hobby or two.
My cat is a hunter, and all of my yard's
his private preserve, stocked with game.
He's caught a few chipmunks, and plenty of mice,
but the squirrels here just put him to shame.
So that's the two minute, the overview view
As Homestar would say, welcome to me!
